The members of Tomes Brothers Ministries come from varying backgrounds, all of which contribute to this dynamic group. They have a hunger to see souls won for the Kingdom of God.
Through their experiences on the road and with each other, God has shown them how he wants to use them in the ministring of song and The Word. God has given this group a gift...the ability to reach out to souls who are lost without Jesus.

| Butch Tomes |
|
Butch Tomes spent the first half of his music career leading a Country band and playing honkytonks throughout the midwest. He's played with some of the biggest names in that era of Country Music. God got ahold of him, pulled him out of that life and placed a burden in him to win souls for Jesus. And that's what he's doing now...as the President, Lead Guitarist and Lead Vocalist of The Tomes Brothers.

| Steve Van Norman |
|
Steve Van Norman comes to the group with a great ear for Country Gospel Music, an affinity for new technologies in sound and graphic design, and a God-given bass playing talent. When he was a teenager, his desire was to play...so he popped in Butch Tomes' first Country Gospel album and was playing within ten minutes. God has also granted him the ability to sing the high notes. Steve is the Manager, Bass Player and Tenor Singer for The Tomes Brothers.

| Wayne Bickley |
|
Wayne Bickley started his music career at nine years old, playing the drums in his basement. He was a natural and excelled quickly. Throughout his career, he has played with several of the big names in Country Music, and for a time was the head of the CCMA (California Country Music Association). When he gave his heart to the Lord, God called him to preach. God has since opened the door to him to continue to do what he loves (playing music) while following the call of Christ. Wayne is the Drummer and Evangelist for The Tomes Brothers.

| Dean Lipscomb |
|
Dean Lipscomb is an all-around good guy. His deep, rich vocals fit his baritone part nicely, and his personality naturally draws kids to him like a magnet. Before joining The Tomes Brothers, Dean sang primarily in churches, both solo and in choirs. He is now actively fulfilling the desires of his heart - ministering and singing with The Tomes Brothers. Dean is the Baritone singer, soon-to-be-rhythm-guitar player and Treasurer for The Tomes Brothers.
