Greetings!

We, the Tomes Brothers, would like to formally introduce ourselves.  We are a traveling group of Christian men and women who sing and preach wherever God leads us.

A few years ago, Operation Blessing was preparing to deliver food and the Word to the Navajo Nation in Window Rock, Arizona.  They were in need of an appropriate medium in which to bring people into the tent while delivering food and the message of Salvation and Deliverance.  Butch Tomes had put together an album shortly before this need was made known.  They sent a copy to the West Coast Distribution Manager, Charles Lotshaw, who was coordinating the effort with the Navajo Tribal Council.  The Lotshaws and the Tribal Council approved the music.

This created a need - the need for a group of uniquely qualified individuals who would listen to the leading of the Holy Ghost and deliver the Word of God in a creative medium - Country Gospel Music.  The musicians and singers were hand-picked, following God's lead.  Thus, Tomes Brothers was born.

Since its inception, The Tomes Brothers have been to many areas of the Navajo Reservation, including some extremely remote areas where white man had not been welcome in many years.  We have sang, preached to, and worshiped with church congregations and outdoor audiences throughout California, Idaho, Arizona, New Mexico and the Navajo Nation.  We've played in most venues from outdoors to dirt-floored tents to large churches and auditoriums.  The Tomes Brothers are not in this for money, although it helps to keep the bus running and the equipment in working condition.

We would like the opportunity to serve you, your congregation and your community in song and, if possible, through exhortation of the Word of God by our Evangelist.  We do not charge a fee, we do not require an honorarium.  All we ask is that you take up a love offering.  We believe that, as the Bible says in Luke 10:7 and 1 Timothy 5:18, the laborer is worthy of his hire.  We also ask that you provide a small area in which we can sell tapes, CD's and other related merchandise.

Above all, we ask that you allow the Spirit to move.  It is only through His divine anointing that we, you and I, are able to win souls for Jesus Christ.
